dougsawerewolf Suggestion: Make the ratings non-anonymous (public), and make stats available. If you rate a show, you should stand by your rating. If you bomb multiple shows, the pattern will show up in the stats. We'd find out who is abusing the system pretty quickly. Will it cause people to call others out publicly, or cause other non-preferred behavior (mailbox spamming, etc.)? Yup. But that's what the "Review" section is for - rate the show, defend your choice. I think it will spur more thoughtful discussion around shows than less. "Sunlight is said to be the best of disinfectants."
